Giant Robot is proud to host a reception and book signing with Buff Monster to celebrate the release of his new book, Life Is Sweet.

Buff Monster is best known for his wheat-pasted street art featuring lumps of ice cream, clouds, and squirting breasts. He needs just a few tones to crab your attention--black, gray, white, and pinks--and his disarmingly sweet imagery has spilled over into the worlds of fashion, collectibles, and galleries, as well as collaborations for the likes of The Standard, Hurley, Vans, Helio, and Nike.

Life Is Sweet, which compiles Buff Monster's strangely saccharine and adorably edgy paintings, toys, street posters, and photography, was laid out and edited by the artist himself. As a result, the 144 pages are uniquely personal, and include the Los Angeles artist's own photos of street art and art show installations and openings, as well as many behind-the-scenes images of his work in progress.

For the event, Buff Monster will also be bringing a special run of 18" x 24" silkscreen prints that are based on the book cover
