Giant Robot is proud to host A Minotaur In-Store, an in-store event featuring performances by Actually, Records recording artists. Actually, Records is a Chicago-based label specializing in experimental, noise, and indie music. Acoustic and mini sets will be played by the following:

XYZR_KX - Guitar-based electro-pop from Jon Monteverde (pronounced "scissor kicks").

Jack Tung - Cinematic instrumentals by a post-hardcore one-man army.

Largesse - Contributor to experimental rockers The Gold Medalists and indie pop group Scrabbel.

Dave and Joe - Creators of the Kite Operations' feedback-laden madness as a duo.

The show is all-ages and free, and serves as a prelude to full-blown sets at the Retox Lounge later that evening (628 20th St., 21+, $5 door).

Giant Robot was born as a Los Angeles-based magazine about Asian, Asian-American, and new hybrid culture in 1994, but has evolved into a full-service pop culture provider with shops and galleries in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York City, as well as an online equivalent.
